bent rim?

well put my bike up on the stand today.... had the engine running in 1st at idle and noticed an ever so slight "wobble" if you would call it that. the rim moves MAYBE 1/8" MAYBE. Would this be a problem? I dont feel it at all when im ridding, but im worried if it will be a problem later on or what.

suggestions please!

Hello, this just happened to me too. I am curious as to how often to check the spokes, and how tight should the spokes be in comparison to the others?? I have a wobble in the back wheel and tried to true it, but bungled up some nipples in the process since I was using a crecent wrench[:'(]. What do you guys do?? How often do you check your rims?? I completely forgot about this maintenance part and am no paying for it. Sucks.

i checked mine at 650miles and do it probably every week or two now... usually dont have to tighten any...MAYBE one...i just hit them, and it sounds way different when you get a loose one. i dont know how tight to get it, i dont put a massive amount of force into it just a decent amount.

but i have a VERY slight wobble...cant feel it when you ride it but if you put it on a stand you can see it if you look close. didnt know if i could fix it by loosening some spokes and tightening others or what

Look here, I was checking this guy out to send my wheel to, and get it superlaced. Any how if you look in the wisdom part, he says to only tighten spokes, never to loosen them. He says "and above all...DO NOT LOOSEN ANY NIPPLES! your descent into hell starts with biting into that apple!!!!! ."

LOL. Anyhow here is the link. And he's not all that expensive. Its just you have to ship it to Colorodo.

Oh ya, the funny thing about my out of tune is that I can't feel it at all, but people who ride behind me can see it, do you think its enought to worry about?
