i replaced mine due to a dump and slide on a wet grass field which tweaked the clutch side of the bars nicely. i just finished installing them last night along with a nice set of acerbis brush guards. when i went to the local parts shop to order a new set it was a nightmare due to the bike being a new model. good luck finding any sizes specifically for this bike..... after almost an hour with the parts guy i finally said screw it and ordered a set for the newest model of KX250... long story short... they worked like a charm.... what brand?.. your call, tho Renthal is very popular and durable as far as ive heard (thats what i picked up).
as an afterthought, do yourself a favor and order them in 7/8 diamater... thats the same size as stock.. they have a larger diameter tube, but then all your controls throttle etc will need to be modified/replaced to fit the larger tube.
hope that helps.

I just put new ones on today. I had bought the Renthal CR High Bend < Honda Bars>. They were the same as stock but much better quality. I ended up taking them back and getting Raptor 650 bars.

The Renthal Raptor bars are about 2" higher and are ATV bars. Im going to test ride them tommorow, I think the 2" will be much better for me standing up on trails. I did have to move some wires around behind the headlight to get the extra length i needed.

A couple of folks on this forum ended up getting the Moose Rapture bars for the same reason as stated above, greater hight.

They can speake better then I as to how well they are working, I liked what I read in other posts as feedback and have them "in mind" for when I too need a replacement set...[:o]

Good deal on your Moose bars. I paid $89.00 for my Renthals. Us Canadians get screwed on prices all the time. I have ordered from the Motorcycle Superstore but shipping and taxes on a $18.00 item was over $40.00.

RE: bent handlebars

There are only two types of bars. The standard 7/8" bars and the fat 1 1/8" bars. The fat bars taper at the end so it uses the same throttle and levers as the standard bars, but fat bars will not fit into the 7/8" bar mounts without adaptors. Also, the fat bars usually do not use the cross bar.

The only difference between bars are material and bends.

Good choice! I choose the blue ones with the CR high bend, along with the moose handguard. I have black covers on the handguards now thats it's colder weather here.
