I like how the guy in the thread is insisting that the bike has never been jumped or "adbused" only "trail ridden".

Looking at the huge dents on the gas tank and the way that the mouting tabs for the radiator have been ripped clean off in addition to the frame breakage looks to me like that bike was crashed hard. Like really hard.

that bike as had some serious abuse ;)

One of the other posters noted his rear subframe cracked with luggage. I'm thinking more bracing for the rack if you carry loads.

I'm thinking that bike has been in the air a lot, with resulting impact. With the soft front spring, when it hits the stops the loads go very high.

I dont think the tank is dented. That is the way they are formed from the factory. The radiator tab broke because the frame let go around that point. Looks like a clean break from a weak weld.

"JRA" was the first thing that popped into my head too.
We're not getting the full story on this one.

Wow, I have seen lots of wrecked bikes, and plenty of bent steel frames, also lots of cracked aluminum frames, but never a steel frame which was cracked so terminally before! Almost like it was dropped from some great height...
