Is the Sherpa even available in the US? I've definitely never seen one (not that I've been looking).

yes vtgreen. they just came out with the 09 and sell it at my local dealership. and thats the bike i took my msf course on.

As Westoz said, down here it's sold as an Ag(agricultural) bike.

Good for carrying stuff, hence the name, and rounding up sheep.
It's a fair bit smaller as well. Seat height that is.
Again, a good feature when working on the farm.
