Anyone Consider a klx Adv to Newfoundland this Summer?
 

I got three weeks of vacation to burn.....usually I go south for vacation ... but I was google mapping and Newfoundland caught my attention.

I could catch a Amtrak auto train up to DC with a bike ..... I was thinking my adv.....but the lil klx would be a riot. There seems to be a ferry to get ya up there fast from there......then let the adv begin.


You know..... just pointing the compass north for a week or so??

August perhaps?

Sounds like fun. I can't do it (taking the fam to FL for vacation) but hope you do, and take some pictures for us.

Sounds a bit far for the KLX! gonna have ta drive to north sydney, nova scotia to catch the ferry. If u do head this way let me know. can give u any info like to have. got a camper right along side trailway too. and if you need somewhere to stay for night your more than welcome. I live on east coast of the rock.

don't know if this will really work, but here is a link to the NSDSC (Nova Scotia Dual Sport Club) gallery...they went to NF last year..there are tonnes of pics from their trip on the site....enjoy. I haven't seen anything posted for this year to say whether or not they are going again, but those who did last year seemed to really enjoy the trip.

Well, if your plan goes foward, anyone planning on attending the ride can PM me for my info, and if anything happens I could possibly come to the rescue.. Parts, transport, supplies.. I am in Nova Scotia.

PS I do not bs about trips, I'll go solo if I have too ... I want company for bear protection.

Right since you don't have to be able to out run a bear as long as you can out run your buddy.
