Actually the stage 2 instructions are word for word identical to stage 1 on the DJ 2152 kits.

I had a pretty good laugh when I read that.

Check it out for yourself: http://www.dynojet.com/pdf/2152.pdf

EDIT: Crap you're right, they do change the jet sizes (a trivial amount)

Aren't all the KLX speedos "uncalibrated"?

:D :D

The big difference - on the instructions - is that stage II is for use with the snorkel removed. Either can be used with stock exhaust OR aftermarket exhaust..

I've always heard they're out by 10% out of the gate.

That's fairly close to what mine is out by as well.

When selling bikes that 10% error was consistent. I can't remember if there ever was an accurate one. Of course it gets closer when the rider sticks a fatter tire on the front end, which was inevitable if possible. We always figured it was intentional since it was so consistent. Maybe the manufacturers figured it would keep riders closer to legal speeds... or maybe the mph is like the horses in their horsepower... just a little smaller than the real thing.

Swapping out tires with the 250S could alter it a bit, but not likely when we put a 90/90 on it. The OEM is more like an 80/100, but those end up about the same diameter so you're still off by 10%.

Now the SM riders may stick a 120/70 on the front in place of the OEM 110/70, which may make up for the 10% error since it has a larger circumference.:D

So now that I've bored you to tears, have a good day. ;)

No miles per hour! And yeah I actually find the streets too dangerous. I ride in isolated or with squads of other dirt bikes and ATVs on stunt strips. I live in miami . I no longer use this bikebto commute whatso ever. Just wheelies really

I'm pretty sure I'm the only guy street racing a KLX, and you're the only guy stunting one.

Any one else want to move to Miami and buy a boat?
