Im running the bigger snorkle but also drilled a bunch of 1/2 holes on top and covered it with filter cloth (snowmobile stuff) doesnt let water or dirt in but flows air good (nice and qiute also).hope it workes for you looks good.

To improve performance in the air intake of the KLX250 and reduce intake noise suggest 3 phases, from less to more complication:

1-Installation of a release slightly more open than the stock (no need to delete a db killer). +1 hp

2-Make Marcelino cam change (half or full) +1-2 hp

3-Buy a KLX300 airbox and install it. It is quite complicated (attaching the intake manifold is somewhat complicated to be of different length and orientation) +0'50 cv

With these 3 transactions you can remove the snorkel without going crazy. In addition to immediate benefits in the delivery of the engine, the intake sound is more subdued. Together we could be talking about 2-3CV
