Acerbis Tail Light Problem

Back in August I installed the Acertis Tail Light. It intermittently fails to light up when I hit the brakes. All the solders are solid, so there's a good connection. The contacts from the front brake and the rear brakes are good. I replaced the bulb. Same problem. I'm ready to scrap the tail light. Anyone know of another tail light that will work?

P.S. The flush mount rear signal lights I installed will not pass safety inspection. Local mechanic said blinker lights technically need to be 10" away fromthe center light. Reasoning is that a car behind you can't see which way you're turning because the blinker light is too close to the center.

Advice: Don't cut off your old blinker brackets, as you may need to mount the old lights during safety inspection.

If you bend the tabs that touch theelectrical contactsof the bulb so there is more pressure against the bulb... that helps, thats what i did and i havent had any problems since... Legally in pa the turnsignals need to be 15" apart... but the mechanic passes it for me...:D

Yea Eric is right, since I bent the tabs in at probably 1000 miles ago, and a lot of that has beenon rough trails, I haven't lost one. In Washington turn signals are not even required, so space between is not an issue. Also I worried that because the flush mounts are not "DOT" approved that I might have to change them out, but really if they are not even required here then its not an issue.;)

I had to bend the tabs on myAcerbistail light too! Remove the bulb and bend the tabs so it puts more pressure on the contact points on the bulb and you should have no more problems...
