I don't post much on here anymore due to a tool that post on here, but I can now ride 4th gear power wheelies and love it.

Funny how you don't even have to write its name and it knows who your talking about. How's riding your klx coming, oh never mind.

Kgwld1 - wow, with the 340cc, pumper carb, pipe, and 13:50 gearing, that thing must be a real stump puller. You could enter that in a tractor pull.

I just wished the top end had the pull that the bottom and mid does.

swap to 13/45 and it will. It's what I had and it killed. It's been said here by severalthat this is the best gearing combo for the KLX.
at least I know I'm not on your "ignore" list. now, back to my refrigerator running. does that too upset you?

kgwld1, Doyou even use first gear with that setup? Just 13/42 I found 1st to be so low that I'd be grabbing second immediately after initiating a turn from a stop, first just wound out way too quick on the pavement.

Its pretty short but I do a ton of single track woods in sand so I need it low 14/50 was to tall on the street 1st gear pops up so fast that to ride the front out you better be ready to shift into 2nd real fast and 3rd for that matter. At 60 mph my revs are about 7500 rpm wide open in 6th is on the rev limiter and 86 on the GPS.
