I just need an idea of where to start, im hoping to save myself some grief ofpulling the carb out a dozen times trying to get it set up correctly.

RE: 4000 feet

I have a 331cc kit and am running a Bill Blue modified Mikuni TM33-8012 pumper carb(now 34). Full Muzzy exhaust, K&N air filter, airbox lid on with no snorkle, no back fire screen, de-smogged, external crankcase vent filter.

Jetting at 5000' is 140 MJ, 40 PJ, Q-0 needle jet with needle clip in position #3 (from top), air/fuel screw for best idle. I have anocasional stutter at about 3/4 throttle -- living with this for now as everything else is pretty well dialed in. Never could get the thing jetted right with the airbox lid off. I'm probably a bit rich, but this is the best configuration that I have found so far.

I've run up to 12,000' with this setup.

Going to give a TM36-68 a try soon. I and a couple of other folks here think that the TM34 might be undersized for a big bore.
