2021 klx300 shift problem
So has anyone had any issues yet? Mine only has 300 km on it and from the start it seemed like it didn't like going into top gear unless it had some good revs. Well the other day I tried switching into top gear at a lower rpm and it seemed to click on the shifter but when I let out the clutch it reved like neutral and than banged into gear. I am going to take it in under warranty but wondering if anyone else has had this issue or know what might be causing the issue? Hate the thought of them pulling my whole motor apart but most likely going to be what happens.
I was around 4000 when it happened but it seems to not like to go in 6th unless im around 5500 to 6000. Many time I try for 6th and it just doesn't click in and stays in 5th. Thinking some kind of synchronizer? Do we have anything like that in these motors

Since it's brand new, it's at the dealer under warranty. It boggles my mind, that a known issue can just keep going for years and years. This reminds me of my former SM 610 Husky, where the retaining clip from the main shaft let loose and left me stranded at 1000 miles.
I have 1200 mi on my klx300. It was notchy at first, and I had to tweak the shifter position a bit. Have to give the shifter a positive bump to get a good feel going into the next gear. I have hit a false nuetral before, but forget between witch gears. Ride it hard and run it through the gears hard for few hundred miles. I don't have anymore specifics other than the bike was new and under warranty, and I figured with some good use it would start smoothing out (or get worse if it was a problem). It has gotten smoother with use. This is not the best shifitng bike I have owned, but it is not enough to bother me. It may get better with some use, and if does not then I would bring it in.
Oh, it's in the shop. They came and picked it up. It's been out of my possession for almost a month. Parts won't be here until 10/18. There goes all of the good fall high country riding. I know I sound salty, because I am. However, it is a brand new motorcycle that has never even seen dirt.
