I have a new 2021 KLX300. Installed a TST Fender Eliminator with new flasher relay to slow down turn signal flashing.
I cannot find the flasher relay!
Advise would be appreciated.
Hey, I got a 300SM too... and also the TST.
They make great products. I used their excellent taillight kits on my DRZ and Grom.
They save a fair amount of weight and the light is VERY BRIGHT.
Sorry, I don't know where the flasher is. for now I just let the blinkers flash faster.
There are two likely places, under the seat and behind the headlight.
If you've already installed the TST kit you'll notice the taillight protrudes past the rear fender. what keeps it from setting farther back under the fender are two metal tabs with rubber bumpers for the stock rear fender. I cut those off, redrilled the holes in the taillight mounting plate. then cut it shorter so that the light tucks in neatly underneath the fender with nothing protruding. Then I trimmed the fender so that it matches the curvature of the light and makes for a cleaner appearance.

It's fun doing small things to customize bikes. While I don't have the talent to do major modifications, I can do minor ones. These are my handlebars.
Right now I can get away with a mixture of led and incandescent blinkers. They just flash faster which is fine. But I'm looking for flush front LED blinkers and will have to find and replace the relay when I install them.
I found the flasher by the battery, it is two spade lugs at 90 degrees from each other. | _ set up. The TST flasher has two pins. Gonna have to make an adapter.
Hey just a question for you guys as I cant find much info online about the new 2021 yet. Mine is on order right now, the KLX300 camo grey. Do you know if mufflers like FMF from a 250s model would fit? Having a hard time finding any aftermarket slip ons for it. Thanks, and the bars and light look great

I'm assuming this is the relay (rubber grey pluged into tan connector)? Just installed tst fender eliminator and have the gen 2 flasher relay which obviously doesn't plug in. Be interested to see how you wire it up!

As of now, I haven't been able to work on this.
I reached out to TST and they said that they have a different relay with the correct orientation.
HOWEVER, since I had taken the staple out of the plastic, they would have to charge me a restocking fee. Well, the restocking fee plus the return shipping is more than half the cost of the $20 relay.
AND, to get a new relay,, it would be $20 plus $17 shipping!
$37 for a relay.I really like the fender eliminator, but that is too much for a relay.
Their Customer service is no help.
I am on work travel for a few more weeks. Will reattach this problem later.
By the way, check Amazon, they have flashers (in the correct configuration) for led lights for less than $8 delivered free.

As far as I can tell, the exhausts for the 250 and 300 are the same. I'm working on an aftermarket slip on of my own design and will have one for sale as soon as I work out the bugs. This is the prototype...
It can be tuned from mild to wild because it uses Supertrapp disks, and is a legal spark arrestor. It's the smallest lightest most compact KLX exhaust around.
