I have a 2018 KLX250 EFI. I was warming the bike up this morning and it just stopped. It was running for about 45sec to a minute and it just stopped like someone pushed the kill switch.

I noticed my EJK doesn't light up when I turn on the key
I get spark
I hear the fuel pump cycle
All fuses are good.
The dash lights up and has power.
FI diag just blinks when I ground out the connector.

It seems to me the EJK gets power from the harness it's plugged into. Where does this harness get power from? Is there a hidden fuse somewhere or a relay that controls power going to it?

Any ideas?

Remove EJK and see, if it runs... Wouldn't be the first time the tuner died. It's plugged in-line with the injector, which is powered by the ECU.

 

That was the first thing I did. Still wouldn't run.

It turns out it was the kill switch.

Did you ever find out what was wrong? Im having the exact same issue but i dont have a tuner
