2013 Rear wheel replacment.
Cant seem to find anything for a replacement on a 2013 klx250s complete rear wheel assembly.
does anyone have a source or know of another bike's rear wheel that's a direct replacement?

The 2006-07 rear wheel fits also BUT the brake disc is different and the spokes are smaller diameter.
My road tire is mounted on an '07 rear wheel that I use on my '12. The 09+ rear disc bolts right on.
Regarding the spokes, I don't believe the 06-07 wheel had a reputation of being weak, but the 09 received 4mm(?) spokes compared to 3.5mm(?) spokes on the earlier.

i dont think weaker spokes would be a problem , i just picked up new motoz tractionator endro IT for the rear.
my plan is to have two rears , one with the knobbys for adventuring , and a more tarmac friendly tire for daily driving

Front wheel is different
As stated, my rear street wheel is from an 07 with 09+ rotor, if you want a second front you have to run a 09+ front wheel, on your '13, as the speedo drive is different from the earlier, cable-driven speedo.

Fact is the rear hub is same as the KLX300, but as said you will need the bigger 09-later rear rotor or if cost effective, buy an 07-earlier rear caliper carrier and the smaller rear rotor. Bolt hole/thread size may vary too.
I have the smaller rotor on the back of my 09 because it had a KX rotor mounted, I got a 300 rotor, but it was same size, 220mm vs 240 I think. I traded carriers with another rider, because he wanted to run the bigger rotor - I didn't. The small rotor still can easily lock the rear wheel, but should take a bit more effort, aka more control for off road. I guess the thought may be that new riders who may ride the 250 would be more inclined to use the rear brake over the front, so give it a bit more power on the street.
I believe there are a number of KX wheels that would work too, but likely have 19" rims.

07 rotor on 09+
1) Did you notice much difference with the smaller rotor?
2) Did your original caliper just bolt onto the 07- carrier?
TIA,

I'm running the 09 brake on my 07.

The brake caliper is a bolt on. They used the same caliper, making up for the larger rotor with an appropriate sized carrier. With the large carrier the brake pads were only sweeping about half the rotor. Changing to the smaller 06-07 carrier and now the pads sweep the whole rotor.
