Default 2010 KLX 250s Throttle Tube Options

Hey guys. Been revamping the bike realizing the klx250s ain’t got much aftermarket options or suppliers arnt accurately stating part compatibility which I just confirmed on Rocky Mountain atc/mc. Specifically the 16mm spark plug socket. Said it wouldn’t work on my bike. Curious as to why, I messaged them asking if it could indeed fit. They messaged back saying it does and there going to change the website. Anyways feel there is a certain lazyness when it comes to knowing what bikes their products work with. Not rocky specifically but most suppliers. I end up taking chances and things fit perfect. I’ve had parts that are compatible fit worse.

that being said. Got new bars and grips to put on and thought I’d upgrade the throttle tube. Only ones on Rocky Mountain I can find are only compatible with the Kx 250F. Which’s brings me to this question.

Are the KX250F throttle tubes compatible with the KLX 250s

was looking at the motion pro titans for durability and smoothness

Will be installing full wrap hand guards. Probably have to ream the end cap hole

also putting on tusk heated grip inserts

Motion Pro 01-0094 Throttle Sleeve

on Amazon I found some motion pro throttle tubes that weren’t the titan line but better than stock. Again they did not reference the KLX 250 as being compatible. But it reviews they said it fit the KLX 250 perfect. This will probably be my go to if I can’t get the motion pro titans.
Amazon Amazon

again Amazon specifically said did not fit my bike but their own Ai says it does referencing reviews

One review on rockymatvmc said he tried on 2006 KLX 250 but didn’t work the part that goes into housing was to thick. But that was a 2006 and mine is a 2010 which is when they made some changes.

Was looking at aluminum but didn’t like the idea of more vibration and seizing throttle if dropped.

would be interested in short action throttle just so I don’t have to grab a second handful. Any options? Any downsides?

Appreciate the knowledge

Zeta makes a quicker action throttle tube. Do a search, not sure where they're sold. Got mine from Wheeling Cycle.

Very late reply, but for Google searches.....

I'm still running the G2 quick turn (https://www.g2ergo.com/shop/g2-quick...250-s-es-08-20) and it is fantastic with a properly jetted KLX250s (carbed).

Not cheap... but I wouldn't go back to a stock setup.

I just used epoxy to build up the opening cable ramp on the OE tube.
Worked for me.
