2009 klx250s rear shock adjustment
 
found it adjustment instructions in the manual.

says for KLX250T and I think they're the same ..
but I just want to make sure.


left is soft +
right is hard -
12 clicks for the shock damper counter clockwise from 0

what about the thing at the bottom of the shock , whats the called?
and 12 clicks as well?

why would someone prefer hard vs soft ? whats the difference going to be?

The faster you go, the stiffer your springs, the more you want both.

The rear shock has adjustment for compression damping(that's the one on the top of the shock) that effects how slowly the rear suspension compresses. The rebound damping is adjusted with the clicker on the bottom shock shaft-pit effects how slowly the suspension extends. I would suggest you read this article to get some ideas on how to set up suspension. kb1

and by " slower the extension / compression "
.. you mean the harder the slower right?

Yes, the sensation you feel is the suspension moving slower. The purpose of a suspension damper is to convert the energy of the spring into heat-that's why they get hot. The clickers on the fork and shock just give you the ability to alter the base suspension valving and allow you to compensate for different terrains.

makes sense ...I happen to have been studying physics for the last few months and totally get what youre' saying
