Has less than 1000 miles, new footpegs, rear rack, breakaway clutch lever, red radiator hoses, smog stuff gone and screen cut out. Small oil seepage on head. Lowered front and rear for shorter rider. Have part to raise back up. Red and black. Any ideas on its worth. I'm in so cal

i probably pay little over $3,000...if it was in perfect mechanical condition....and, running smooth....

with an oil leak...i would only pay about $2,000 (or, wouldn't bother buying) because i would probably need to take it to a shop to get it fixed....and, i don't know if the particular 351 kit caused this problem...or, if it wasn't installed properly or adjusted properly...

I like completely stock bikes to buy.. why? because we generally like to do the work ourselves.. and a stock bike is PERFECT when it leaves Japan.. so In my opinion a stock bike is worth more.. sorry to say.. if ur going to sell a bike, put it back to stock condition (but leave the 351) etc

Valve Cover leak is very common on these bikes on the Right side, after taking off the cover. A little RTV will fix that right up. If I were buying it, I'd pay near 3000, if I could ride it to make sure the 351 was doing it's job and sounded right.

Mine has started weeping oil from the valve cover gasket, and the valve cover has not even been off yet.

Yep...it's that common! I just use the weeping as evidence that it's getting oil up in the valve cover area.

With the poor economy it would be hard to sell it over 3K, even though it might be worth it.
