Hello, I have a 2006 KLX 250S I am trying to swap in forks from a 2012. has anyone done this? direct bolt in?

 

Most people do the exact reverse. Installing the longer travel pre-2009 KLX250 forks on their 2009 and up KLXs. Unless there is some reason to put on the shorter travel 2012 forks on the 2006 I'd get a Race Tech gold seal kit for the older forks and a set of appropriate springs, ending up with better forks than either present choice.

 

I broke my front RH fork so I was looking for a replacement that may be more available than the 06-07 forks. Having trouble finding them or when I do they are pretty expensive. So I was trying to find something that would work and was more available.
