The headlight / turn signal switch on my newly acquired ,06 KLX250 has an issue that is very irritating. The turn signal cancel function is very rough and does not cancel unless you push very hard and wobble the button around.

On the other hand my '06 KLX250 has a turn signal switch that works perfectly. It does have a separate button to cancel the turn signals, but it works effortlessly. I'd like to pick up a used '06-'07 version for my '09.

Does anyone know if the '06-'07 switch is a direct replacement, namely the wiring harness plug?

"No, the wiring plugs are completely different and the '09 version even has two plugs instead of one on the '06. If you have both machines, why didn't you just take each of them apart to see what type plugs they have? The function of the switch itself is the same so you should be able to wire it directly or change the plug end to fit."
