First time poster here. I recently acquired a 1998 KLX 250 and noticed some odd behavior with the headlights and turn signals. It does seem that some custom work as been done to the bike, but as for the wiring there's only the rear plate lights that are not connected. Looking for the wisdom of all of you wiring/electrical gurus out there!
So here's the odd behavior:
1) Turn Signals: When I turn on the right signal the fronts blink like hazards (both sides) and the right rear blinks as expected. On top of that, the turn signal indicator light does not illuminate.
2) Turn signals: When I turn on the left signal the turn light indicator illuminates as expected, the front left flashes (hi flash due to LED conversion), but the rear does not. Continuity and power testing show nothing wrong, and the light bulb appears to be functional.
3) Headlights: With the headlights off, the high beam indicator is illuminated. When I turn on the headlight the indicator turns off.
4) Headlights: The high and low seem to be reversed. When they are low, the high beams are on, and when they are high, the low beams are on.
I have a little experience with wiring, but my brain is smoothing out and I can't seem to figure this one out. I feel like it's just an issue of a wire crossed/miswired somewhere, but where would be a good place to start?
Here's a link to the video I made showing the issue behaviors:
