Well a duke is singular, so you tell me why duke's are twins?

Can you try to be less vague? Not sure what you're trying to say here.

If you're asking why he answered some KTM it's because Duke is a KTM model name (there are several KTM Duke line models) and "duke" also sounds like the first part of "Ducati".

What I am getting at, is that I call HD's thumpers and you don't have too. Others call twins, dukes, it is weird but you going to have to accept that to me, HD's are thumpers.

One of many on the thumper forum, which I used to participate in.

It never ends.

You can like whatever you wish, but if you use the word, everyone other than you thinks you're talking about a single cylinder 4 stroke.

Exactly. Calling Harleys thumpers is like me saying that from now on I shall call my KLX a Honda, and you're just going to have to understand that to me it is a Honda.

It ain't a Honda and Harleys ain't thumpers.

Also for the record I have never heard anybody call a twin a duke before.

Logic:
Thumpers are singles. HD thumpers are twins. Twins are singles. Hmmm, that can't be right.

In all fairness, I hated my GSXR track bike, so I put honda stickers on it. Maybe he's onto something.
