Do you mean the dirt version? My SuperMoto feels great from 0 to top speed.

Yes. Balancing beads in the tubes helped but the bike being light and tall, it gets tossed around in the wind and isn't exactly a platform that shines at higher speeds.

I think one has to clearly decide for themselves what "off-road" really means. For me, there's no way the stock 14/42 combo would work - I know, I tried. Nor would a 13/42 be acceptable. I typically ride 13/50 in summer months when twisty mountain trails and roads becomes accessible and I've found its pretty much perfect. Winter-ish riding I can go taller when I'm usually riding more wide open desert type stuff. But still nowhere near a 14/42 combo.

I acknowledge though that my style of riding can/will differ significantly to others. And that's completely OK. That's the beauty of this platform. It can be setup to excel across a wide range of conditions.

Engine power levels (TRQ curve) also play a big role in which final ratio ( sprockets) are useable.
For instance, go with MCM to get that biggy low -mid range power and higher "gearing" becomes useable..

You didn't quote anybody but I was the most recent post before you, so are you talking to me?

"Thumper" is a nickname for a single-cylinder engine.
