07'KLX > FMF pipe + header, KN Airfilter, Smogs stuff rem., KDX Snorkel > Jetting?
 

Hi guys, ok i'll try to post one last time for today, something
seems to be wrong with the server, 3rd try, now lazzy version:


Installed the FMF System today, i also have the KN Airfilter installed,
want to do smog mods and KDX Snorkel, following question:

> which jet kit to buy?
> install easy?
> should i have someone install and adjust it rather than
doing it myself?

last week after i installed the airfilter i noticed alot
better response, the bike pops eversince i bought it
when i get of the throttle, with the FMF its even louder,
hope this goes away with jetting and no smog stuff

the bike almost dies now with the stock jetting w/o adjustments
at low rpm, even stalled one time and wouldnt start w/o choke,
in high rpm that things pulls sweet, in no time i got up to 80 mph
(im 6.3 and about 190lbs), not for long i had to slow down (wheel whobble)

hope someone can help me and post a link to what
i should buy!!

before i forget, do the 300klx plastics fit the 250?

I had a racer and my mechanic do my jetting and its been flawless for 6000 miles now. I'm just saying.;)

PLEASE rejet before you ride it much more. You are runningway too lean right now and could easily suffer valve and piston damage..especially doing those high speed runs.

i wouldn't worry too much about the kdx snorkel, dynojet recommends just running without the airbox lid. dj and fmf are the same as far as jet kits. look for the kit for the klx300R. you can do it yourself if you do a little research here in KF, and hmf engineering has a pretty good write-up with pics in their forum.

@tremor > thats what i thought, which is why i had asked you
guys if i can ride it to the dealer if i install the HMF and KN filter,
i only rode it about 3-4 miles to hear it ;)
