Default 07 cooling system

My 07 has 450 miles on it. I've yet to hear the fan come on or run after shutting down. I live in Minnesota, and as usual it has been pretty cool, but I 've been commuting to work, about 15 miles, in 80 degree temps this week, and still no fan. Is it just that quite, or possibly not working? I have not noticed a difference in the cooling level since buying the bike a month ago.

I have a 09 and live in Alabama and i have only heard mine come on once and that was after riding it in the woods for a couple of hours i think the bike just doesn't over heat easily.

Mine is an 06 with 7700 miles and I heard it come on only once 2 summers ago on a 100 degree day on a real technical trail.

I have been riding mine since I joined the forum. and only herd the fan a couple of times and then it was hours of tight bush trails.

The fan doesn't normally come on when riding on the streets. I only heard mine when I was riding for hours going through 1st & 2nd gear in the woods. And when I had to sit in a traffic jam for 30mins in 90*F weather.

The fan usually comes on for me when I'm doing a tight technical trail.

TD,

I'm in central florida so you can imagine what my average riding conditions are. I've only heard my fan come on a couple of times, usually crawling though the woods in 2nd. Got to say I'm pretty impressed with the cooling system, seems like all it needs is a bit of air flowing past to get the job done.
