06 tail rack options?

Who makes tail racks for the 2006 klx250s?

Cyclerack

I looked up "cyclerack" and found a site that makes tail racks for klx250s 2007 and after. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Jill

It says 2007 and older, that would be you.

This is the one:

Some folks don't like them as they aren't fashionable enough, but some prefer function over fashion. ;)

:D

It will hold more than your klx can carry and serves as multiple pick up handles when you go down. It comes in fashionable silver as well.

I like it. My husband is dubious because the rack looks like the side bars make access to something on the bike difficult. I like it! Seems like it has a stronger base than some others. Who has one who can tell me why it isn't inconvenient.

Your husband is right. That rack is odd. Looks like a ATV mated with a poor KLX.

There is no inconvenience

I've never felt that it got in the way at all.
The side panels can be removed easily. The battery can still be accessed; one does need to be a bit more careful to not short the + to the rack but the ground should be the first cable taken off anyway.
As posted above the rack offers lots handholds after nap time and provides lots of protection for the side panels/rear turn signals.
Yes: it can seem fugly but it's very strong and functional.

ps So you didn't have to let hubby go to get the KLX? ;)
