Hello All,

I have an 06 and replaced the tail light with an Acerbis tail light right when I got it. I remember install was a tight fit and the quality of the light was not the greatest. I remember it came to me with one of the screw hole mounts cracked and I ended up just sealing the unit with silicone all the around to keep water out. Well it stopped working and I would like to upgrade if possible to LED.

I however cant seem to find any tail lights for the 06/07 years. I am even having a hard time finding the original Acerbis tail light that I bought.

I know there is a mod to the sub frame to be able to install the kx fender and use the 09 options for tail lights but I don't want to modify my frame.

Anyone have any other options? I may just install the original fender back on and tail light if it comes to it but I do really like the look of the Acerbis tail light kit. Cleans up the fender.

You still have the original light?
If so, just remove the clunkies, and screw it to the fender higher.... not LED though.

 

I still have the light and will mess around with it. Thanks for the idea.
