Being that i understand what horsepower and torque is i have stayed out of this thread... Didnt interest me that much, too much reading..lol.. but i have visited it a few times and now i see That iowaguy has responded. I just think its funny how fired up he gets everybody, he is allowed to state his full opinion as much as anyone else. Just because some people dont agree with it everyone jumps down his throat, honestly i like to have friends that arent afraid to say the truth even if it smacks you down because its the truth... now im not saying i read everything on here or read his entire post but, im just saying its nice to have someone to be the "one" that says stuff no one else will Everyone just gets too fired up from his stuff it seems like... imo.
Ok how about a nice group hug

Hey, whatever tricks your trigger.

I appreciate honesty as much as the next guy, but if you're going to peck away like a seagul at what others post, at least bring something halfway worthwhile to the table.

That's the challenge I made to Iowaguy. It still stands.

To Iowaguy:

[sm=smiley20.gif] You've got experience in lots of different things -- cool, other people can learn from that.

[sm=smiley20.gif] You're outspoken and not shy about saying what's on your mind -- no problem, you're entitled to that ... it's what Freedom of Speech is all about. Everyone else is entitled to say whatever they want as well.

[sm=smiley24.gif] Sometimes your constructive criticism comes off sounding harsh and insulting -- oh well, these are posts in a forum, not polished speeches ... we get what we get. If the criticism sounds insulting, that's one thing, but if it really is insulting, that's another thing. Everyone needs to be aware, especially on-line, how your comments might be perceived, and make sure other readers know what side of the line you're on.

[sm=smiley24.gif] You seem disturbed that there's more comradery and joking going on here than dyno printouts and "real useful information" ... again, we get what we get. There's lots of other forums and places to go on the net if there's not enough "useful information" here. But its a social thing, too, like hanging out at a bar. If you don't like the atmosphere at one place, keep looking till you find one that you do like hanging out at.

[sm=smiley21.gif] You don't speak for me and you don't know what's on my mind when you say that you're "just the only one who will say it". Just like you, I'm not afraid to speak my mind, either, and if there's something I want to say, I'll say it on my own -- I don't need you to say it for me, nor do I appreciate that you think you're speaking on my (and other's) behalf.

Just so you don't get me wrong -- I'm not insulting you ... this is meant as constructive criticism. I read your posts along with all the other posts -- sometimes they're informative, somtimes they're entertaining, and sometimes they're surprising. (We get what we get.) I'm pretty easy-going and don't get upset if something is in the grey area and closer to the insulting range ... that's just me. Others have different thresholds.

Anyway, all of the above is just my opinion ... take it for what its worth to you (but I don't think I needed to tell you that! [sm=smiley20.gif]) I will, however, pass along some advice I heard that I always thought was pretty cool:

If everyone tells you that you're dizzy, maybe you should sit down.

Think about it, figure out if it's relevant, then do what you think is right.

Mike
