Chain and Sprocket - 2016 Camo
 

My son has a 2016 KLR650 Camo. I want to buy him a new chain and sprocket set. It looks like the OEM sprockets are 15 tooth front and 43 rear. We would like to try a 16T on the front since most of his riding is on the road but not having any luck finding a kit with the bigger front sprocket. Where is a good place to look, and also what year model range would I be looking for fitment, like 2008 - 2017 ? etc.... thanks

Were you able to locate the 16T counter sprocket?

I doubt a 16 will fit without hitting something inside there. I had a 39/15 on my KLX for a bit. Too high for what I wanted, but I was goofing around with gearing. If your son would be interested I'd do a deal on the 39T sprocket, which has less than 100 miles on it. Make a decent deal on it. PM me if interested.
