Foot board mount blocks gear box cover removal
 

I had to replace my stator. Getting the gear box cover off was almost impossible as the foot board/shifter mount is welded on the the frame and not level with the frame therefore blocking clearance of the gear box cover removal. Getting that cover back on I actually broke a piece off of the cover. The only way I can see doing this successfully is to sheer off the top of the foot board mount creations clearance but then I have the issue of a mount that is damaged and would have to be creatively cobbled together to hold the footboard bolt. Anyone else have this issue??
