Hi all
still struggling with the beast got the bike firing when I spray fuel in to the venturi but wont go unless I do, just turns over but does not fire what am I missing :o .I have set float levels as per book plugs are dry, seams no fuel getting to plugs :mad:

It would help if I knew what bike you were working on, but we'll try some general troubleshooting.
Start at the beginning. Is fuel getting into the float bowls? If not, then why not? Is the petcock working properly? Do you have it set on "prime"? If fuel is getting to the carbs, is it going in the carbs? Float needles operating properly? Have you cleaned the carbs? Is the pilot jet circuit clean?

Yea sorry its a 1988 zx600 c1:o as I said the chap I brought it off striped and cleaned carbs as did I . the fuel is getting to the carbs as I am feeding through a petrol can with a tap on it , have checked all the float bowls which have fuel in them, set the float hight as per book 17mm (spring not compressed) put choke on . One thing is if you use throtle it seems to make it worse (doesnt fire ). thanks.
