Default Back pressure problem with after-market pipes?

Hi there! I have a 2006 Vulcan 900 Classic and I just put new after-market pipes on it. I went with Roadhouse Moto Classic slip-ons. These pipes look and sound great but I have a lot of popping and a little bit if power loss at low speed/power. A friend mentioned that this might be caused by not having enough back pressure in the new pipes. He suggested that a product called Torque Cones might solve my problem. I've also heard that there is something you can do with the computer that might work as well. Has anyone experienced this issue and what might be done to solve the problem?

Your popping could actually be a couple of things. When you change the backflow on a bike, you need to counter that by changing the inflow. You need to look for a high-flow air filter so that you can get the right equillibrium. Also, if you haven't mapped the fuel system, do it. Get a power commander which will act as a bigger "jet" for lack of better words and allow more fuel to be pumped. Good luck finding a high flow air filter though.
