I recently bought a 2006 Kawasaki Bayou 250 for my kids and I’m having an issue with the carburetor. I called the guy I bought it from and he said he did have the carburetor replaced at one point. It leaking fuel terribly and won’t start. Unfortunately it appears he went with a cheap $25 Chinese made carb and doesn’t have the original Mikuni VM24SS. I would much rather have rebuilt the original. The problem is I can’t seem to find an OEM replacement carb for this. I only see listings for a VM24-512. I don’t know enough about this to know what to buy. I’m not totally incompetent around small engines but i’m not exactly seasoned either…any advice for a noob?
