klt 250 pull start?
 

I just got a klt 250 trike and it has no pull or kick start just electric. Is there a pull start i can use from another model on mine?

The correct answer to your question is NO! That motor came out of a street bike (hence the manual clutch) and there isn't any arrangement to allow attachment of the cam that the pull start pawl catches and the cover needs a seal to allow fitment of such a device. There never was a pull or kick start to these models. I believe that the KLT250 prairie models had an option kick start if my memory serves me right, but that was the only one.

there never was a kick or pull start, u need the electric start cause of the vacume pump on the carb. its a different injection system. have u ever noticed when u turn the key on the clicking noise?? thats the pump. send some pics of ur bike. clist1236@yahoo.com joe
