HEY FELLAS, I'M NEW TOO THE FORUM AND NEED A LITTLE HELP!! I HAVE A 2006 BRUTE 650 THAT I BOUGHT LAST YEAR TO WORK AROUND THE FARM WITH BUT WAS WONDERING WHAT KIND AND SIZE WHEEL TIRE COMBO COULD I GET TOO MAKE IT MORE STABLE ON HILLSIDES AND TRAILRIDES. I LOVE THE BIKE, I PULL A SWISHER BUSH-HOG AND IT IS AWESOME FOR THAT, BUT WHEN WE TRAIL RIDE ITS KIND TOP HEAVY. ANY IDEAS ON WHAT I CAN DO TOO MAKE IT MORE STABLE!! THANKS

you could try offset wheels, I find mine to be very well balanced I am 245 lbs, and I do some very extreme off-camber riding do you lean off to the high side of the turn or off-camber side, are the front tires aligned properly if they are completely straight this will negatively affect handling and stability the front end is designed to have the toe out approx. 2 degrees I believe, so when you look at the front end with the handlebars straight both front tires should look as though they are turned out.

yes, i always lean off to the high side, i guess the IRS makes it feel like its gonna turn over. we dont do alot of extreme riding but sometimes theres a bend in the road and you gotta go a different route if you know what i mean. thanks for your help, the brutes just look narrower than the competetors for some reason. thanks, marty

I think they look Narrower because of the way that the plastic hangs out way past the wheels and tires more so than some of the other bikes

Yes that may be true, and also because they are so tall. i still think getting some different offset wheels will make it more stable, even if its only a couple of inches. thanks, marty
