Default No Power on Power Steering

OK here goes, first time poster-

I have a 2015, 4010 Mule, just got it, no power to the power steering. So I tried to jump across the power leads coming into the motor, black and red, and that turned the wheel sharp to the left. I have checked fuses and plugs. Not sure where to start. There light only comes on when the starter is engaged and then immediately goes off when it starts, no delay. Any ideas where to start?

I am about to bury this thing. I have done and spent a fortune on trying to fix the power steering. Have check everything and replaced the ECU with no effects. Does anyone know anything about this.

Problem is there is no codes showing up. I did find I have no power on the small red wire from the 7.5amp fuse going in or out. The relay has power but the white and yellow going to the fuse is dead. I have ordered a new relay and diode.

So I finally figured it out. I bought a aftermarket key switch and would notice a micro second flash on a test light after it started. The diodes are latched and when the it blinked it would unlatch the diode and the circuit to the EPS was broken. Replaced the key switch with a Kawaski and boom it started working again, was able to set the neutral position and all started working.

I am having this same exact problem. How do you set the neutral position?

Smile OEM key switch fixed it.

I had the same problem on a 2017 4010 Trans. EPS light would come on for 1 second at start up. EPS would get power on the small red wire for that time period only. All components tested fine. After reading Gonecoastal's post, I tested the aftermarket key switch that was installed, and it too had a instantaneous power spike as the key went back to the run position. That would cause a backfeed to the diodes and the relay would open up. I replaced the key switch with a Kawasaki OEM switch and BINGO! I can't tell you how frustrating it was trying to troubleshoot that one. Thanks Gonecoastal!!

Hoping this post isnt too old, did you have to do a neutral repostion after? I also replaced my switch with an aftermarket and realized I dont have power steering, light comes on for a second at start then stays off, Really hoping this is my issue!

Thank you very much

did you have to complete a neutral procedure after? any idea where to find that procedure? I bought mine with an aftermarket ignition and suspect this is the issue all along

Hey Tanner, did replacing that Key Switch with and OEM work? Did you have to perform the neutral procedure after?
