New member with a new Mule Pro-FXT. Spent 9 days on Hatfield & McCoy trails. The Mule did everything that I asked of it. Got it home and was riding around the subdivision and had a CVT belt failed with less than 40hrs on the Mule. If any members have any ideas why this would happen, I sure would like to hear from you. Wow! Well I pick mine up Tuesday, will be sure to watch out for the CVT belt. Hopefully it was just a manufacturing fault with the rubber belt. Thanks for the alert. Certainly, it is covered by the warranty, hopefully , I mean.

 

During a recent service, the mechanic told me to make sure that I always use low gear to extend the belt life, he said that high gear stresses it and to only use high gear when I'm doing over 25 on the street.


Could that be the reason?
