Hi, we have an 02 3010 gas 4x4 that made a loud noise in the rear end under no load, just normal driving and something cracked the rear end / transmission case down low on the drivers side from the inside out and made a big enough crack it drained the fluid and plenty of metal shavings. Obviously had an internal part come loose or explode and caused the damage. I've been unable so far to find a replacement for a gas 3010 at a reasonable price and I don't want to buy new if I can help it. I have found several transmissions out of diesel 3010's. is there anyway to make these work even though there may be some differences? Is there anyone trustworthy to rebuild this thing if I can get the case welded back up?? Any other thoughts?? Thanks in advance for advice.
