Default Gear grind

why does my 2005 Kawasaki 3010 4 x 4 mule sometimes ( many times) want to go in gear rough like with a pronounced engagement? I have her idled down to as low as I can get. Some times it’s like a charm then the next time it’s like it will tear something up.

Well you may have to take it to shop and have it looked at if you want it fixed.

You should be able to find the Factory Workshop Manuals on-line.

Find and follow the directions on how to adjust the gear selection mechanism and complete that exercise first. It is amazing what a half millimeter adjustment can do when you adjust the cables to the factory specifications.
