dipstick broke off on my 3010 mule
When I went to check my oil, the dipstick broke off leaving most of it in the tube. Does someone have any recommendations on how to get the broken dipstick out of the dipstick tube?

Had the same problem. Reasoned out that the dipstick couldn't be very far in because it was broke off right at the end of the rubber stopper. I could not see it in the tube, but couldn't get at a good angle for observation. Regardless, a regular needle-nose pliers couldn't reach in far enough. However, a small set of needle nose pliers (similar to Harbor Freight Pittsburgh 5 3/4" needle nose pliers SKU# 63815 $2.99) was able to easily reach in and grasp the dipstick. Have a new dipstick on hand to replace it.
I had called my local Kawasaki dealer/repair/service and, while it's not common, they did occasionally have to remove a broken dipstick; minimum was one hour labor - $130.00. Plus the trouble of taking the machine there, the down time, and getting it back. So buy the 3 buck pliers and try those first...what have you got to lose? Best Wishes.
