jet ski 750/650 stall after 10 minutes in the water

i have a 650 x1 and a 750 ss kawasaki jet ski. i have had new gas put in, the carbs rebuilt and they still stall out on the water after about 15 minutes. they idle fine and will run slowly if the choke is at 1/3 or if i fumble with the choke knob . they start beautifully and idle beautifully as well. i dont believe its a gas problem or a carb problem. a friend of mine who works on skis told me it might be a coil problem. atfer the coil heats up, they expand and shut the engine down. has anyone else ever heard of this??? i find it hard to believe that both skis could be suffering from the same dilemma at the same time, but hey, ya never know...i also read that the temp sensor might be the culprit. i just dont know...if anyone has ever heard of the coils expanding or had had a problem like what im having, please let me know. my email is salsa104@yahoo.com all your input will be greatly appreciated. thanks and have a great, wet summer...

Welcome to the forums!!

I have not heard of a faulty temp doing that...but is is very possible a coil could be getting hot and shutting down. Yes, that is possible and I have had it happen. You can test the coil, but I have no idea the specs on that thing.

GL man.....Enjoy the summer!!
