Hi, I just bought my first jetski a 2000 900 STX. The guy I bought it from told me that it eats alot of gas, but I am surprised at how much. I have spent over $100 dollars in three days, and I have only used it for a few hours total, maybe 3 or so, possibly less on my local lake. Is this normal, or does anyone have any suggestions or ideas. Thanks.

let me guess... 900cc triple 2-stroke? 500 singles get just over 20mpg when ridden mildly soooo...

 

Yeah that's exactly right it's a 900cc triple 2 stroke. I guess that does not surprise you huh? When you say a 500 single I guess you mean a 500cc engine? I guess I am just surprised because I never had a ski before this one and I didnot think they ate that much gas. Everyone I talk to tells me that jetski's are gas guzzlers.
