Went out for a ride today and my display is not functioning at all. Runs great, checked the 3A and 11A fuses and they are fine. All wiring seems intact.

Any thoughts?

 

I purchased my 1100 STX in 97 and the LCD Display went out and was replaced under warranty. I used the ski for about 8 years and towards the end before I sold it the display would randomly not work. Other times it would work just fine after turning the ski off and back on again.

I just purchased another 1100 STX from the same year and during the test drive everything worked perfectly. 1 day later the display isn't working properly only showing portions of the number and not displaying the gas or oil meter.

The batter was the wrong battery for the ski and I believe he just installed it for the test drive and sale. I replaced the battery, gave it a full charge and the display is still not displaying properly.

I reached under and disconnected the LCD wires and reconnected them hoping I would see a flicker of it working correctly and nothing changed.

Any suggestions on how to reset or fix my LCD display?

 

no clue on that one brother, usually an LCD wont just die overnight, but when portions of one dies while others work I cant think of a way around replacing it, tho I have never worked on one personally.
