550 jetski givin to me ..it won't start ..it all most starts with the carb off ..new starter new plugs new fuel .....can anyone help??? thank you

You could try rebuilding the carb including the fuel pump.
|
What!!!
ther is no fuel pump and these carb don't need rebuilding .. thanks any way
|
Every carb needs to be cleaned brother, just a fact of life. If it "almost starts" with no carb on it then you know the spark is good, so the only x factor is the fuel and the carbs, clean the carbs and see what you got.
Welcome to KF, and dont be an ass when people try to help you |

I'm just glad to see someone who knows something about ski's in here, usually I'm answering all the questions and I have never been on one, lol.
|
it's all good ....just what i meant that if i pour fuel in the man it wants to start
|
Pouring fuel in the manifold is not the same as mixing the fuel into the air intake, if it wants to start with fuel poured into the manifold that means that your ignition and timing are good, all you need is for the fuel to be properly mixed into the air. Hope it helps.

i hope your right your the only guy out here that really gave me a true answer ...thanks for being straight
|
Yeah because telling you to rebuild your carb and fuel pump in no way suggests you have a carberator issue??? I stand by my last response!

Are the plugs wet after you have cranked on it for awhile? If not work your way backwards. Can you see fuel spray out of jet. This still leave two problems restriction somewhere or diaphram/fuel pump not working properly. If your ski has a Mikuni Carb on it the is a little filter or screen in side the carb and I have worked on and own two stand ups and seem like every two years or so I must open the carbs up and clean this screen/filter.
