Default 650 ts exhaust problems

i have had a problem with the rubber boot that conects the exhaust pieces together, i had bought exhaust hose from the local marina and it started to melt and leak today. does anyone know if there is something better to get or is there another problem that could be causing this? i don't know if it matters or makes a difference but it has after market exhaust on it also. please help!

the exhaust should be water cooled if im not mistakin. thats how it is on my 440 kawasaki stand up and thats how it gets away with running rubber hose between the exhaust pieces.

i checked some of the water lines that i could find, this may be a stupid question but how does the water get into the motor? and how is it pushed into the lines? by the impeller?

ok, there should be a hole in your pump housing by your impeller, when the impeller is spinning it forces water through the hole and into a tube connected to the motor. hope this helps. when you find it, blow air through it and see if its pluged. also you should have a water vent on the side of your ski that pees out when your ski is running. this lets you know water is circulating, just like a boat moter.

How much water should be coming out of the vent? I have hot water, but it comes out at about half the rate of taking a leak. Pretty technical lingo huh?
