Default 440 kawasaki jet ski

Just wondering if anyone knows if my 1991 440 ski is ready for a rebuild. it has 120 lbs of compression on both holes. Seems a little slow but i just got it last year and dont know what to expect out of it. I also just bought a new stainless impeller at a 16 degree pitch for it. will that be to much for my ski? thanks, Monty

If I remember right, I belive the stock is a 15..So a 16 should liven her up a bit. Have you actually checked the old impeller? They mess up more than you would think. They get knicks, and etc on them. If you get a good enough knick in it, it could cause cavitation, making the ski slower. 120 in each cylinder is good....

One of the best things you can do for a ski, is an impeller.... When you install the new impeller, make sure the old one has not knicked the body anywhere. GL man....
