1999 1100 stx Power issues
 

I have a 1999 1100 STX that will not rev over 5600 rpm's, which is only allowing it to go 35 mph. The throttle response is very sluggish. I got the ski real hot and melted some wires together a month or so ago, but I have all that lined out with no alarms and such. But when I put it on the water today, 35 was the max... I'm lost. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
