Hello every one I am a newbie first time owning a jet ski. I bought this jet ski and had a friend rebuild the carburetors and cleaned them. I took the jet ski for a test drive it ran great, we ran it for about 45 minutes. I then took it out and took my family to another lake, was having hard time starting, it started it ran great for 5 minutes then the GAS light came on. I took it out and mix 1 gallon of fuel and oil then put the entire 1 gallon into gas tank, I noticed the E and oil light where lid and stayed on. The jet ski started fine but as I kept pressing the acceleration it ran slow even though I was giving it gas the speed odometer moved up but the jet ski was moving slow like if it was stuck! any ideas? Can you guys please help me?

 

Welcome 750! Glad to welcome you to the forums, but I'm not the guy to ask about jet ski's. (I've had some bad experiences with boats...) Anyone else here that can help?

One thing I forgot to mention is that I put the gas while the jet ski was in the water and I drop the gas cap could a little of water gotten in and this causes this issue?

 

Hey guys well I found the issue, the issue was that I had too much oil in the mix. I added about 1 gallon of gas with no oil and it worked! I have power when I accelerate now. I also had to clean the sparks plugs because they where black was burning more oil then gas. Thank you all!
