i have a 2005 NINJA ZX-6R, now that winter over and it starting to get nice i want to ride, but when i turn the key over it, flashs all the warning lights and makes a honking sound. what does this mean.

 

what happens when u try to start it.(press the button) cause if u didnt have the battery on a tender i bet it is dead.

 

Checked the battery charge? Engine sparking or nothing when you turn her on? (To turn my baby on I just crook my finger and tell her I'm gonna ride her )

 

ok i was thinkin it was the battery too, do i need to take off the gas tank to get the battery out?

will a tender work or is there a point in a battery life when it will not be able to be recharge?
i used jumper cables and got it to start but when i would ride of 35mph it would go back to 0 then back to what mph i was at and then reset. is this do to the battery or did i **** something up? i so hope not.

 

you not supposed to jump FI bikes. The battery doesnt get enough power out of it to power the electronics and charge it. best bet is to take the battery out and recharge it.

 

so then your saying i should buy a tender and the will recharge my battery no matter what, and the reason it resets itself after i go over 35mph is because the battery is to low?
