I've got a 2005 250r with a sylvania silver star. It doesn't give as clear a view of the road as the stock halogen bulb, especially in rain. I think its brighter, just harder to see white on the roads.

I liked these bulbs because they project farther out then the stock bulbs did and I didn't have to jump up in wattage to get this effect. I tried the blue bulbs and was very dissapointed with the way the were. I couldn't see very far with them and didn't like the fact that I had to put a higher rated fuse in so it wouldn't blow when I turned on the high beams.

that's great. That is the effect I am looking for, considering that half of my 60 miles a day are at night, and I have actually ran over some metal piece of junk in the road simply because I didn't have enough reaction time from when I first saw it to when I hit it. A greater vision distance would certainly have helped.

Have you had the bulbs in long enough to know how long a life they have Remo?
and were any fuses needed for the new bulb (basically, is it plug and play?)
