Default Vulcan 1500 Classic

Just bought a pristine 2000 Vulcan 1500 Classic. Beautiful bike that all of the sudden is acting a little strange. The bike will stutter after warmed up and the red temperature light will come on for a few seconds and then go off. The bike will then run fine for a few minutes and then do the same thing. Fluids are right. I don't believe that it is over heating because the red light never stays on and there is a definite stutter like it is starving for fuel. Thanks for any help. I will drain, flush and refill the cooling system.

I am fairly certain that it is an electrical problem like the bike losses power for a second due to a short, the light comes on then it comes back to power and sometimes backfires. Anybody had anything like this???[>:]

It was a loose battery cable for anyone that may have a similar problem.
